We at Gille would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year. We hope you enjoyed 2017, and that 2018 will be just as good – or even better.
It was quite an eventful year for Gille. The company turned 50, and to celebrate the anniversary we gave our Sweet Cookies a makeover. A great many people love Gille Sweet Cookies, and these delicious treats can trace their roots back to the 1960s. Shortly after that, Babsan helped make everyday life a little pinker, and Malin Höglund won a one-of-a-kind coffee morning at the home of Lars-Åke himself. We also developed the Gille Double Chocolate Crisp, which is one of our most popular cookies, and introduced two new additions to our range: the Mint Crisp and the Almond Crisp.
Once again, we ran a campaign with the children’s rights organisation BRIS with the aim of raising SEK 600,000 – a sum that would allow BRIS to finance a counsellor for a whole year. In order to reach our target, we teamed up with you, our consumers, to donate SEK 1–3 for each pack of selected products sold between weeks 36 and 43. All funds went directly to BRIS to support the organisation’s important work with children and young people.
During a competition in the autumn, @erikasfikastund came up with a future coffee classic – Cheesecake trifle with cloudberries and oat crunch – and won a year’s supply of Gille cookies for her suggestion. And most recently, you have had the chance to meet the Gille Santa who appeared with the #deartomyheart “Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men – with more Gille Ginger Snaps on the coffee table.”
What happens next remains to be seen. But until then, we hope you enjoy Christmas – and why not spice it up with a ginger snap or two! We have enough to share the love with everyone. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
